In Piston Valve, SS piston surrounded by two valve rings creates a sealing element. The upper valve ring gives the outer seal, and the lower valve ring blocks the passage. The large sealing surface on the piston skirt gives an optimum seal.
In locked position, the piston pushes any impurities in the medium ahead of itself. In this, media with fibrous or contaminated constituents are also checked.
